Product Information

ROHO® Hybrid Elite® Cushion is the wheelchair cushion that combines the superb skin protection and shape matching ability of ROHO® DRY FLOATATION® with the stability of Jay® base technology.

The ROHO® Hybrid Elite® Single Compartment is a wheelchair support surface with a contoured foam base; combined with a ROHO DRY FLOATATION® air filled, adjustable, cellular design cushion insert, designed to conform to an individual’s seated shape in the pelvic loading area. The Hybrid Elite Single Compartment Cushion is recommended for individuals who weigh 500 lbs. or less, (when properly sized to the individual) and who may require skin/soft tissue protection and/or positioning while seated. The Hybrid Elite must be used with the supplied cover.

The ROHO Hybrid Elite’s Jay contoured foam base engineered specifically for ROHO, provides improved positioning of the pelvis and lower extremities, enhancing sitting posture. This added stability assists the person in achieving safer transfers in and out of his or her wheelchair.

Applications:

Recommended for seated individuals who:

Have a history of skin/soft tissue breakdown and/or any stage pressure ulcer (including deep tissue injury), skin grafts, and/or myocutaneous flap surgery
Currently have skin/soft tissue breakdown and/or any stage pressure ulcer (including deep tissue injury)
Are at moderate to high risk for skin/soft tissue breakdown and/or deep tissue injury
Have normal or impaired sensation
Require accommodation of pelvic asymmetry, up to approximately 1 in. / 2.5 cm
Require increased stability
Require pelvic and lower extremity positioning
Have difficulty with lower extremity positioning and alignment
Have asymmetrical postures and need front to back or side to side positioning (dual compartment sizes applicable)

If you are using a wheelchair with a sling seat, we recommend the use of the ROHO Contour Base, the ROHO Planar Solid Seat Insert, or a solid seat platform in conjunction with your wheelchair cushion for best positioning results.
