The Adaptive Living Store is secure and reliable. We use the latest in Secure Socket Layer (SSL) technology during order process and within the Order Management System. We collect the personal data that you volunteer upon registration or purchase of products. All information collected via our website is encrypted before transmission using a Secure Sockets Layer certificate. An SSL certificate is a digital certificate that authenticates the identity of a Web site and encrypts information sent to the server using Secure Sockets Layer (SSL) technology. Encryption is the process of scrambling data into an undecipherable format that can only be returned to a readable format with the proper decryption key. A certificate serves as an electronic "passport" that establishes an online entity’s credentials when doing business on the Web. When an Internet user attempts to send confidential information to a Web server, the user’s browser accesses the server’s digital certificate and establishes a secure connection.

All credit cards are encrypted within the database itself. Our ecommerce system conforms with credit card companies PCI security standards and the network is scanned nightly by a third party security auditing company, Trust Guard, which scans the network daily looking for vulnerabilities. Sensitive information is always transferred over a secure protocol (https).
You may browse our Web site, without disclosing any personal information. Within these areas we only collect and store the information that is automatically recognized by the Web server, such as your IP address and files you request from the server.
While we use SSL encryption to protect sensitive information online, we also protect user-information off-line. All of our client information is restricted in our office and are password protected on our network. Only employees who need the information to perform a specific job are granted access to personally identifiable information. All employees are kept up-to-date on our security and privacy practices.
